ISL-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
(Free International Certification from IQF, USA)
Black Belts are at the core of the Six Sigma implementation. Black Belt is an individual who has developed a synergistic proficiency between his or her technical discipline and the Six Sigma strategies, methodology and tools. Black Belt skills are not only required for people working in Quality department as they improve the productivity of people in all other functional departments.
Black Belts are trained in statistical skills as well as soft skills. The combination of statistical and soft skills makes the Black Belts ideal candidates to act as change agents. Black Belt slowly and steadily change the way people think and act in the day-to-day work. Often this is referred to as Six Sigma Way - a cultural change.
ISL Black Belt training focuses on DFSS approach, Lean principles, facilitation and change management skills.
Black Belt role involves - helping champions in selecting right six sigma projects, lead breakthrough projects (called Black Belt projects), facilitate Green Belt projects.
Black Belts work in two ways - full time and part time. Part time Black Belts are more common and they have regular responsibilities in addition to Black Belt role. Part time Black Belts spend about 50% of their time to six sigma activities. Some of the organizations have full time Black Belts - they do not have any responsibility to day-to-day work and exclusively focus on six sigma activities only.
